Bringing Home Your New Kitten
Kittens need twice the amount of nutrients than adult cats... they have their hard food ( IAMS for kittens), free feed (all day). And of course fresh water daily.
We are very pleased with this food and it has outstanding results!
As do many other brands, If you wish to switch them please do this gradually, mixing the two together slowly.
When Picking Up Your Kitten:
-
Have a carrier for your kitten with soft comfortable bedding.
-
I provide each kitten with health records, samples of Iams, and Iams discount coupons.
-
I try to have all kittens neutered or spayed atleast 7 days before leaving my home to yours.
-
While I have each and every kitten vet checked, I strongly recommend you to take your kitten to your vet within 24 hours after purchase.
When Arriving Home:
Our kittens are fully litter trained when they leave here. When arriving at a new home please keep the kitten in a smaller area in the beginning (bathroom, bedroom etc..) With its food, water and litter pan. Then gradually start giving him bigger areas to explore, this will help him or her remember where the litter pan is. Sometimes when they go to a new home and they have free run they sometimes forget where the litter pan is.
